Rangers star spotted training in another team’s kit as he shares motivational message from sporting legend
MOHAMED DIOMANDE was one of Rangers’ heroes last week as the Light Blues won in Europe and at home. And he’s been spotted donning the kit of ANOTHER team while giving a glimpse into his training routine. The midfield ace showed great determination to latch onto some awful defending to grab the Gers’ second goal of the game. He subsequently appeared as a late substitute in Sunday’s Premiership clash at McDiarmid Park, helping Philippe Clement‘s men see out a much needed 1-0 win over St Johnstone in Perth. Taking to Instagram, Diomande has now shared a motivational training video. It’s a post he initially shared back in JULY, so it’s unclear why he’s decided to re-share it again almost five months down the line. The video shows Diomande training, with an inspirational quote from boxing legend Floyd Mayweather playing over it. Mayweather can he heard saying: “Dedication, hard work, I’m a one man army. “The world can go against me, I’m still going to come out on top. I’ve got God on my side.” What also won’t have gone unnoticed is the fact Diomande is wearing another team’s kit during the training video. The midfielder can be seen running and performing weights exercises while wearing a Brighton kit. It’s the Seagulls’ green and blue away kit from last season. But why is Diomande wearing the English club’s kit? Well, there’s a very obvious reason for it! While the name and number can’t be clearly seen during the short clip, the latter ‘A’ can be seen at the end of the name as well as a number four. It appears that Diomande is wearing the shirt of Brighton winger Simon Adingra, who wore number 24 for the club last season. The Gers ace and Adingra both came through the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana at the same time before both moving to Denmark to join Nordsjaelland in 2020. Adingra moved on to Brighton in 2021 with Diomande getting his own big move to Rangers at the start of this year. The players also know each other from international duty, with both current members of the Ivory Coast national team.
